Koyote member Shin Ji revealed that she "took medication secretly" after various allegations regarding her fiancé, singer Moon Won, were raised.
On the 17th, Shin Ji uploaded a video titled "How have you been lately..." on her YouTube channel "Eotteo Shin Ji" and introduced the preparation process for an upcoming performance with her group members. This video is the first since Shin Ji formally introduced Moon Won to the Koyote members in an "introduction video."
Before taking the stage, Shin Ji apologized for the recent controversy surrounding her marriage. She said, "Since you've given me so much concern and worry, I have no choice but to read those comments," adding, "I feel like the members have also been affected, and I've had a lot to think about in various aspects." She went on to say, "Since many people are interested in me, I am trying to accept it positively and think carefully."
Shin Ji also said, "I was nervous before going on stage. It was my first stage since that incident," and added, "I took medication secretly while moving by car before going on stage because I wasn't calming down." She remarked, "During the performance, even when they said I looked 'very pretty,' normally I would have made eye contact, but I couldn't even look at their eyes." When Kim Jong Min asked, "Did you take medication for panic disorder?" she replied, "Yes."
Kim Jong Min said, "You need to be healthy and you need to be okay. Health is really important. If your body is sick, other concerns are meaningless." Baekga also stated, "It won't be easy, but you still have to keep confronting it."
Kim Jong Min further said, "Since many people are showing interest and talking, listen and reflect on it," adding, "Think carefully about the path you should take and where you should go."
Shin Ji noted, "I know whether they are saying this out of concern or if they are attacking indiscriminately. However, I am well aware that the majority are genuinely worried about me." She added, "There are so many who know I am getting married this year," and mentioned, "It is still far off. Please watch over me slowly."
Shin Ji and Moon Won will hold their wedding in a location in Seoul in the first half of next year. The two became close through a connection made during Shin Ji's time as a DJ on MBC Radio's "Single Bungle Show," which developed into a romantic relationship.
Previously, on the 2nd, Shin Ji released a video showing Moon Won with the Koyote members. In the video, Moon Won revealed that he had previously gone through a divorce and that his ex-wife is raising his daughter. Following this, various allegations regarding his personal life, including the reasons for his divorce, surfaced. In response, Moon Won explained directly via social media (SNS), and Koyote's agency, JG Star, also took action on the 8th by releasing documents related to Moon Won's divorce agreement to quell the situation.
