The 'Culinary Class Wars' Bibimking (Yubibim), who confessed to illegal operations, announced his return.
Yubibim opened up by saying on the 16th, "I have spent the last 10 months reflecting on my life and 20 years of Bibim."
He added, "I sincerely apologize to those who suffered emotional wounds due to my shortcomings," and "Many people across the country have visited the Bibim sound in Hanok Village to encourage and support me."
He then announced, "I especially want to thank my fans 'Bibim Commando' from overseas. Thanks to the support of guests, I published the 'Bibim Character Book' on June 25."
Yubibim stated, "Bibimbap for a day, Yubibim for 100 years, Bibim book for 1,000 years. In the 21st century era of Bibim culture, I will innovatively mix it with Bibim characters to create a world of coexistence, harmony, and unity."
Lastly, he promised, "I will meet you with global Bibim content in the future."
In September of last year, Yubibim gained attention by appearing as 'Bibimking' in the Netflix 'Culinary Class Wars.' However, he soon drew controversy by revealing the facts of his illegal operations through a handwritten letter.
He revealed, "I have done various businesses from fruit peddling to street stalls and beauty salons, but I failed repeatedly and operated a restaurant in a place without permission since 2003, which led to my arrest and a suspended sentence. I deeply reflect on this and closed the shop for a year afterward."
Yubibim disclosed that he had been operating illegally until recently by registering a business in his wife's name. He said, "Now I will return to my original intention, study the Bibim phenomenon, and dedicate myself to writing the Bibim character encyclopedia," and he apologized, saying, "The old Bibim sound space will be open for free as a Bibim exhibition and performance space for everyone, and I will do my best to repay you with the best ingredients legally in the transferred Bibim sound in Hanok Village."
Since then, tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' has edited out Yubibim's segments, and SBS's 'Wow! Really? This Happened in the World' also turned the video of Yubibim's anticipated appearance to private.
In January, Yubibim stated, "The nature of haters is good and great, but they fell into slavery due to the education of money, honor, jealousy, and envy," and added, "I, Yubibim (Bibimking), will return. I will gloriously resurrect with the value of Bibim characters, Bibim philosophy, and Bibim stories."
About six months later, Yubibim has drawn attention by announcing that he published a book.
