IU wins Best Actress at the Blue Dragon Series Awards, sweeping the grand prize with 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.'
At the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards, Lee Byung-Hun's award was missed, while 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' and 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' both took home three awards.
The winners were revealed during the broadcast of KBS2TV's '4th Blue Dragon Series Awards' on the 18th.
The Best New Actor award went to Choo Young-Woo, who delivered a stunning performance in the drama 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.' He expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying, "I'm thankful just to be here, and I appreciate being able to live as Yang Jae-Won. I am grateful to my fans who have loved me as Choo Young-Woo the human and the actor."
Next, the Best Supporting Actress award went to Yeom Hye-Ran from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.' Yeom Hye-Ran said, "This is the first time I've received such overwhelming support and praise in my life," and expressed that it was "an undeserved and glorious moment."
Following that, the Best Actor award went to Ju Jihoon from 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.' The most anticipated Best Actress award was won by IU from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.' She received explosive praise for her dual role in the drama and nervously stated, "I'm truly thankful. From the moment I was first offered the role to filming, airing, and now this moment, this work will be my greatest pride in my life."
IU said, "I was so happy to be with the 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' team," and once again recreated a viral line, thrilling her fans.
