"Queen of Insight Kim Nam-joo" actress Kim Nam-joo's husband, Kim Seung-woo, showed his affectionate side.
In the SBS Life episode of "Queen of Insight Kim Nam-joo" that aired on 17th, actress Kim Nam-joo was portrayed traveling to Busan with staff members who have been with her for 15 to 30 years. Notably, they matched with carry-ons from the same brand, which made their bond feel particularly intimate.
Kim Nam-joo introduced them by saying, "My manager who has been with me for 30 years, the makeup artist who has been with me for 20 years, and the hair artist who has been with me for 15 years."
She continued, "I first met the makeup artist, Soo-kyung, in 2002." She recalled, "After working together on commercials for several years, we did an APT. advertisement shoot. There was a scene where I was dancing like crazy in a grape field." This brought up their special connection. She reminisced, "But it kept raining. The director chose to cast someone among the female staff members whose legs were most similar to mine, and that was Soo-kyung. The plan was just to have her do leg acting. However, fine acting with one's toes and fingers is truly difficult," remembering the struggles of Soo-kyung at that time and how she had cried.
Kim Nam-joo stated, "We had tough times too. There were slumps," expressing gratitude towards her manager. The manager recalled, "Once the work starts, there's a rule that the manager can't go home for six months. At that time, I would drop Kim Nam-joo off, go to the bathhouse to wash up, and then return to work."
In response, Kim Seung-woo said, "Please tell them about the wine we served," softly adding behind the camera. The makeup artist commented, "For 400 guests, Seung-woo and Nam-joo placed wine on all the guests' tables, gifting 400 bottles of wine to every attendee with different labels," surprising everyone. To corroborate this, the hair stylist and manager chimed in, showcasing the tenderness between Kim Seung-woo and Kim Nam-joo.
Though Kim Seung-woo did not appear on screen, he followed Kim Nam-joo on all her shooting schedules. When the camera was off, Kim Seung-woo asked Kim Nam-joo, "Are you feeling well enough to drink champagne?" Kim Nam-joo replied, "I'm not feeling well. I got shaken up on the plane, which made me feel unwell."
He explained, "I have a trauma from when we were headed to Jeju and had to turn back after 40 minutes of circling. Still, it's okay today because I have my friends here."
However, when they went to a tteokbokki restaurant, Kim Nam-joo cheekily asked her husband, who was eating tteokbokki from a distance, "You're not drinking during the day, are you?" Kim Seung-woo showed enthusiasm by holding a GoPro camera to film Kim Nam-joo.
Kim Nam-joo said, "Oh, look at my husband," expressing her overflowing love for him while saying, "He's good-looking!" The hair stylist, hearing this, humorously commented to Kim Seung-woo, "You look familiar. You resemble a movie star." Kim Nam-joo blushingly laughed, saying, "He should appear on Live Today too," referring to her husband's filming style.
