Lee Hye-young delivered a helping hand.
Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced on the 18th that actress Lee Hye-young has donated 20 million won to help disaster victims affected by the ongoing extreme rain. Hope Bridge is the only legally recognized relief organization that can deliver domestic natural disaster relief funds.
Lee Hye-young said, "I felt heavy-hearted as I learned about the people affected by the heavy rain," and "I joined in hopes of being of some help." She continued, "I sincerely hope that the rain stops soon and that the residents of the affected areas can return to their peaceful daily lives."
Lee Hye-young is a member of the "Hope Bridge Honors Club," a group of major donors, and has been one of the first to participate in donations whenever a disaster occurs, starting with the Gangwon wildfires in 2019. Including this donation, the total amount she has donated to Hope Bridge reaches 180 million won.
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, stated, "I deeply appreciate donor Lee Hye-young for being the first to extend a helping hand every time a disaster strikes," and added, "The funds you delivered will be used swiftly and transparently for the livelihood and housing recovery of the affected residents."
