Seven years have passed since lawyer and late television personality Lee Jong-eun, a star of commercials in the 1990s, left this world.
Lee Jong-eun closed his eyes due to illness on July 18, 2018, at the age of 49. It was an unfortunate goodbye that came after his health had worsened over the past few years.
The funeral was held at a local hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in accordance with the deceased's wishes. Lee Jong-eun converted to Islam two years before his death and maintained a deep faith, and in accordance with his will, the funeral was held at a mosque before being laid to rest in Abu Dhabi.
The deceased spent his childhood in various European countries, building a global perspective. He returned to Korea during high school and enrolled in Seoul National University, majoring in diplomacy. He then burst onto the advertising scene in the 1990s, appearing in dozens of commercials and establishing himself as a representative advertising model of the era.
In 1993, he was selected as the MC of SBS 'Morning Wide' and actively engaged in broadcasting. However, his broadcasting activities did not last long. He suddenly moved to the United States and entered law school in New York, opening a new chapter in his life. After obtaining his lawyer's qualification, he built his career as a legal professional at a New York law firm and a major domestic law firm, and since 2012, he has worked as a partner lawyer at a law firm in the Middle East, establishing his presence on the international stage.
