SM Entertainment (hereinafter SM) classic & jazz label SM Classics has announced the schedule for the K-POP orchestra concert 'SM CLASSICS LIVE 2025/26 season.'
'SM CLASSICS LIVE' is SM's classic performance brand that presents SM's representative songs reinterpreted by an orchestra. In February, it held its first concert in collaboration with the Seoul City Symphony Orchestra to celebrate SM's 30th anniversary at the Seoul Arts Center and Lotte Concert Hall, providing an unforgettable special experience not only for classic fans but also for K-POP fans.
The 2025/26 season of 'SM CLASSICS LIVE' will kick off with a performance in Seoul in August, followed by a concert in Tokyo, Japan, in September, and a performance in Vienna, Austria, in February 2026, generating excitement among music fans worldwide. This marks a significant step as SM Classics' original IP makes its debut on the global classical stage.
In particular, the Seoul concert, held on August 23-24 at the Lotte Concert Hall, will be conducted by Cha Woong, the artistic director and principal conductor of the Pohang City Symphony Orchestra, with the SM Classics project orchestra 'SM Classics TOWN Orchestra.' Wendy, a member of Red Velvet, who collaborated in the February concert, will take the stage once again.
The following concert in Tokyo will take place on September 15 at the Tokyo International Forum Hall A, featuring the 'New Japan Philharmonic,' which is currently engaged in various musical genres based in Tokyo, with Super Junior's Ryeowook and Leeteuk fulfilling the roles of guest artists and concert narrator, showcasing the harmony between Super Junior and the 'New Japan Philharmonic.'
Also, on February 16 of next year, at the 'Wiener Konzerthaus,' a representative concert hall in the classical center of Vienna, Austria, the world-renowned 'Wiener Symphoniker' will perform alongside Kim Yoo-won, the conductor of the National Symphony Concert Orchestra, who conducted the 'SM CLASSICS LIVE with the Seoul City Symphony Orchestra' in February, marking the first presentation of SM Classics' original IP on the European classical stage.
Ticket sales for the Seoul concert will be released on the 25th at 2 p.m. through SMTOWN and the official SNS of SM Classics, with 'SM CLASSICS LIVE' expected to be held in various regions around the world in the future to meet global music fans.
