YouTuber Pungja directly met a person who suffered from rude responses at a restaurant in Yeosu that was recommended as the best by 'Ttoganjip.'
On the 18th, the YouTube channel 'Studio Sujae' posted on the community board, "[Live] We have now met the Yeosu victim in person. We will reveal it at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow," along with a photo. The released photo captured Pungja seemingly meeting and talking to a woman. Pungja's appearance, appearing to listen intently with her mouth closed and nodding her head, drew attention.
Recently, a female YouTuber visited a restaurant rumored to be a popular dining spot in Yeosu but fell victim to rude treatment. She ordered for two people instead of one, as they claimed they do not accept orders for a single serving, and despite that, she was scolded, saying, "It's not just one lady coming; we're not like that here. If you keep doing this, it's endless."
After just 20 minutes of entering the restaurant and experiencing such poor treatment, the YouTuber ended up leaving in tears without finishing her meal. Although the restaurant owner tried not to accept payment, the YouTuber transferred the cost of the meal to the account number on the business card she took with her. This review sparked outrage among internet users and rapidly spread, creating controversy.
The problem is that the restaurant in question was widely known for being selected as the best in a past episode of 'Ttoganjip' featuring Yeosu. Therefore, it is interpreted that Pungja, who hosts 'Ttoganjip,' personally met the victim to hear the whole story.
'Ttoganjip' is a web entertainment show where Pungja travels to various places, selecting the top recommended dining spots by local residents. It has been well-received for Pungja's candid remarks and flavor descriptions.
Recently, regarding a location selected as the best in the first shooting of 'Ttoganjip' in Anyang, it was revealed that the resident who made the recommendation was the restaurant owner's daughter, raising questions about fairness. In response, the production team deleted the footage and opted to re-shoot the Anyang episode as a major move to restore credibility. The promotional flyers exclusively for the top restaurant in 'Ttoganjip' were also recalled. It remains to be seen whether Pungja's 'Cider' check will take place at the Yeosu restaurant.
