"NO star" eliminations appeared one after another on "Boys Planet," shocking viewers.
On the 17th, the first broadcast of Mnet's survival program "Boys Planet K" took place. This season of "Boys Planet" is divided into two teams, Planet K and Planet C, where participants must prove their value before being eligible to compete for debut on "Boys Planet." On that day's broadcast, the first meeting of the Planet K participants was depicted. "Boys Planet" is classified into three ranks: All-Star, Two-Star, and One-Star, and survival is determined by rank. After each mission, the lowest rank is immediately eliminated.
The first order of business was the rank determination round. Through team performances, each participant receives their rank, and those deemed unqualified for rank assignment under the master's judgment are immediately eliminated as "NO star."
In the midst of this, Lee Yoon-chan and Park Nuri from Great M Entertainment performed Baekhyun's "Candy" for the rank determination stage. However, Park Nuri drew attention with her unstable pitch. Vocal master Lim Han-byeol noted, "Yoon-chan is good at live performances. His voice is nice, and his tone is good. But with Nuri, I wonder if she can become a singer?"
He asked, "Isn't her position a vocalist?" and Park Nuri replied, "I am visual," creating a tense atmosphere. Lim Han-byeol remarked, "I was quite surprised as I usually don't get speechless" and added, "But anyway, didn't Nuri come here to become a singer?" Lee Seok-hoon criticized, "Having Nuri here is not something anyone can do easily; this is a very difficult spot. Right?" Back Kooyoung also shook his head, saying, "I saw too many things that I didn't like."
As a result of the discussion, Lee Yoon-chan achieved One-Star, while Park Nuri was eliminated as "NO star." She attempted additional testing through vocals, but still caused concern with her unstable pitch. Park Nuri tearfully asked, "Is it okay if I say something? I've been very nervous on stage, which made me unable to perform well. If I could be given another chance as a One-Star, I would practice harder than anyone here."
However, Lim Han-byeol said, "It's not something that can be decided by an appeal, but I will make sure to judge accurately." The masters also wanted to give her a chance out of sympathy, but ultimately, it was decided without any rank changes that she would be a "NO star." Park Nuri left with her prepared belongings. She shared, "Since this is my first stage like this, I seemed to have been too nervous. My heart was racing, my hands were trembling, and I think I made a lot of mistakes."
The "NO star" parade continued. Participants from the general public team, as well as the Seoul A team, Thanatorn from The Wind, Baek Je-hyun from Daegu, were all consecutively eliminated as "NO star" and returned home.
