Actress Do Ji-won becomes Arin's mother in the KBS2 drama 'My Girlfriend is a Man'.
The new KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama 'My Girlfriend is a Man' (Directed by Yoo Kwan-mo/Written by Lee Hae-na/Produced by Studio N, Blossom Entertainment, Playground) is based on a webtoon of the same name, depicting the romance of Kim Ji-eun, who suddenly becomes a flower boy overnight, and Park Yoon-jae, who cannot give up his girlfriend.
Do Ji-won plays the role of Lee Chun-hee, Ji-eun's (Arin's) mother, in 'My Girlfriend is a Man'. Chun-hee, who was once a man in her youth, desperately hopes that no magical events will cause a change in gender for her daughters, but ultimately, as Ji-eun's gender changes, she becomes a strong and warm mother trying to protect her.
As an actress with a wealth of acting experience, Do Ji-won has enhanced the quality of each production with her excellent pacing and outstanding character portrayal. In the recently concluded 'Buried Hearts', she densely expressed the psychological changes of her character as the story progressed, leading the atmosphere of the work. Her solid acting within the cheerful comedy genre, taking on the central role, will be noteworthy.
Above all, the various chemistry created with each actor, from the cute mother-daughter interactions with Ji-eun to the unique chemistry when Ji-eun transforms into Ji-hoon (Yoo Jeong-hoo) and the loving couple dynamic with Sun-ho (Lee Yun-geon), is expected to add to the drama's enjoyment.
Meanwhile, the new KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama 'My Girlfriend is a Man', starring Do Ji-won, will premiere on July 23 at 9:50 p.m.
