Park Byeong-eun from 'Naraesik' revealed his experience as a model for a famous denim brand to fulfill his dream of becoming an actor.
On 16th, an episode featuring Park Byeong-eun was released on the YouTube channel 'Naraesik,' hosted by comedian Park Na-rae. Park Na-rae and Park Byeong-eun, who are seniors and juniors from Anyang Arts High School, had a cheerful conversation from their very first meeting.
On that day, Park Na-rae greeted Park Byeong-eun warmly, saying, 'It felt like a halo was shining behind you.' Park Byeong-eun, who usually enjoys fishing, also helped Park Na-rae with her cooking and shared his unique recipe for making lemon soju.
On the day of the recording, Park Byeong-eun, who had gone for a run, said, 'It hasn't been a year since I started running, but I don't run just because I see the records. When I aim for a goal, I tend to get injured. It becomes too much. It's not just exercise. I get ankle injuries, knee injuries, and develop plantar fasciitis.'
As Park Na-rae is a junior from high school, she mentioned the rumors that circulated at school. When Park Na-rae said, 'You must have been popular,' Park Byeong-eun replied, 'Oh, rather than my looks, I worked really hard in theater during high school. I was like a typical second-year middle school student who said, 'I can't do anything but theater.' I think the juniors liked that.'
With many hobbies that he enjoys alone, such as running, fishing, and golfing, Park Byeong-eun also shared his thoughts on marriage. He said, 'Life seems too short, and there is not enough time. I have so many hobbies I enjoy, so I keep contemplating about marriage.' He added, 'If a couple lives together for a lifetime, they should have their own hobbies separately. Sure, couples who go camping, golf together, and fish together look great, but if you're seeing the same person every day, it's important to respect your wife's hobbies and have that alone time.'
Regarding his ideal type, he said, 'Someone who feels like a friend and shares the same humor. We need to live joyfully together, and if there are jokes that work 9 times out of 10, if there is no reaction at all, that could be tough. Just responding well is enough. Kind of an audience member style.'
Park Byeong-eun also shared his perspective on his dream of becoming an actor. He never let go of his dream even during his unknown period. Park Byeong-eun stated, 'I was confident that I could definitely become a good actor. It would take time, but I believed that if I kept filming independent films and short films, I would find my place and the works I wanted to do.' He added, 'I have never considered doing anything else in almost 18 or 19 years of being commonly referred to as an unknown. I like this. I think it has always been that way.'
Having consistently nurtured his dream of becoming an actor, Park Byeong-eun also worked as a model in a part-time capacity. He mentioned, 'In my early 20s, I worked as a Levi's model. I was the only man with two women, and those two were Park Si-yeon and Yoo In-young.' He said, 'I thought I would really do well. Although nothing came through as an actor, I received offers for magazine photoshoots, which I dismissed. I need to focus on being an actor; my dream isn't to be a model.'
