Professor Seo Kyung-deok of Sungshin Women's University and actor Ryu Seung-ryong joined forces to unveil a video about independence activist Kim Maria.
This video was produced as part of the 'V Coloring' service jointly offered by the three mobile carriers and the '80th-anniversary donation campaign' co-hosted by Professor Seo.
The 2-minute and 30-second video, released about a month before the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation, shed light on Kim Maria's various independence activities.
It detailed how she smuggled the 2.8 Declaration of Independence hidden on her body into the country for distribution and organized the Women's Secret Society, the Patriotic Women's Association of Korea, to raise and deliver military funds to the interim government.
Professor Seo, who planned this project, noted, "This year marks the 80th anniversary of liberation, and we are producing a series of videos to widely publicize the activities of the officials of the interim government."
Actor Ryu Seung-ryong, who participated in the video narration, said, "I am happy to convey the achievements of Teacher Kim Maria through my voice and hope many netizens will watch it."
In particular, if V Coloring customers set this video as their coloring, it will be donated to 'Gyeonggyojang,' the last government office of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, to improve the exhibition environment.
Additionally, some customers who participate in the donation will be selected to be invited to the 'Independence Movement Historical Site Exploration Group' with Professor Seo, scheduled for early September.
