Actress Kim Yong-rim, known for her role in "Perfect Life," reminisced about her late husband, actor Nam Il-woo.
In the episode of TV Chosun's "Perfect Life" aired on 16th, 61-year veteran actress Kim Yong-rim appeared and shared her daily life.
That day, Kim Yong-rim met actor Song Seung-hwan, who held a photo exhibition, while holding a bouquet. He explained, "I went to congratulate him on his 60th anniversary photo exhibition."
Song Seung-hwan guided her through the space that contained his 60 years of memories, saying, "There are also photos from theater, film, and drama." The space was filled with memories from his childhood as a voice actor to his current acting career. Kim Yong-rim asked, "How did you think of having a photo exhibition?"
Song Seung-hwan revealed, "A book was published to commemorate my 60th anniversary. Most people hold a publishing event, but I didn't want that. Since I have many photos taken while doing theater, films, and drama since I was young, I thought it would be nice to select some of them for this exhibition, so I went ahead with it."
Upon hearing this, Kim Yong-rim exclaimed, "You did very well. Probably no other actor has ever thought of this, nor would they have imagined it." In response, Song Seung-hwan remarked, "Many people, unlike me, don't have much material."
Kim Yong-rim stated, "We are all actors in our family. Yet, Nam Il-woo was particularly good at scrapbooking. So, although I have kept a lot, I have never thought of doing such a thing." When Song Seung-hwan said, "You should do it someday," Kim Yong-rim waved her hand, saying, "Oh no, I can't do that."
In the studio, Lee Sung-mi asked, "I think you often think of Mr. Nam Il-woo." Kim Yong-rim, who lost her husband Nam Il-woo a year ago, now lives alone with her daughter. She replied, "Nam Il-woo and Song Seung-hwan were particularly close. They had similar personalities, I guess."
Kim Yong-rim particularly reminisced, "The two of them always lived separately since they were both actors. Even now, it seems my husband is out filming. Seeing old photos brings back memories, and I feel sorry for not doing more for him."
However, she added, "And I don't have time to feel depressed. I just have to work hard at my life."
Meanwhile, when asked what kind of work she would like to do in the future, Kim Yong-rim said, "That's a desire, but I've done theater, drama, film, and even voice acting, but I haven't done musicals. I've seen them. So now that I'm older, it's just a desire and a wish. My goal as an actress is to be thankful and to fully digest any role that comes my way. I don't have a role that I absolutely want to play."
