On the 17th, the episode airing titled Story of the Day When You Bite Your Tail (directed by Lee Geunbyeol, Lee Dongwon, and Ko Hyerin, hereinafter referred to as Kkokkomu) reveals the success legends of Yeokdosan, the 'legend of Japanese pro wrestling,' recognized as the origin of K sports, and Choi Baedal, 'the man of 1 vs. 100.' In the meantime, travel creator Won Ji, comedian Heo Gyeonghwan, and actor Song Jinwoo will be appearing as listeners.
Choi Baedal and Yeokdosan are figures revered by the Japanese to the extent of being considered divine. In the movie 'Fighter of the Wind,' Yang Donggeun played Choi Baedal, while Sul KyungGu starred as Yeokdosan, attracting explosive reactions from Korean audiences. Consequently, Kkokkomu will reveal the reasons behind the global appeal of these two pioneers of K sports, who captivated Japan.
After founding 'Kyokushin Karate,' Choi Baedal faced numerous challenges in the Japanese martial arts world, engaging in battles against 100 people with a 'one shot, one kill' approach and famously fighting a 450kg lion in the ring, declaring that 'there's no one left to fight.' Meanwhile, Yeokdosan, who entered the world of Japanese pro wrestling, achieved a come-from-behind victory against the American Sharp brothers, who were over 2m tall, using a 'karate chop' and quickly rose to fame as 'the legend of Japanese pro wrestling.' Following this, Yeokdosan also found success as a businessman and reportedly continued to provide diverse support to the sports community in Korea. Regarding these amazing figures, Heo Gyeonghwan commented, 'I feel like I'd bump shoulders with them if I met them on the street,' while Song Jinwoo noted that 'Yeokdosan was the idol of that era,' expressing amazement at Yeokdosan's popularity, which recorded a 98% viewership rating.
Meanwhile, through Kkokkomu, Choi Baedal's son, Choi Gwangbeom, captivates attention by reminiscing about his father. Currently an orthopedic surgeon, Choi Gwangbeom shared, 'After failing the medical school entrance exam, I told my father, Choi Baedal, that I would do my best, but I got scolded for the first time in my life.' He continued, 'My father said not to say that I will do my best but to say that I definitely will.' He reveals the character of Choi Baedal, who always charged toward his goals like an ox.
