'BOYS 2 PLANET' responded to the controversy surrounding participant A.
On the 17th, Mnet 'BOYS 2 PLANET' stated to OSEN, "The production team recognizes the seriousness of this matter and is currently verifying the facts regarding the allegations raised on social media."
They added, "We are identifying the accurate details through the mentioned individual in the post as well as those who worked at B Entertainment at the time and related individuals; separately, we are closely examining whether there are any legal issues."
Earlier, a lengthy exposé regarding the past conduct and character of trainee A was posted on a recent online community. The author claimed, "A, who was affiliated with B Entertainment, received excessive favoritism from senior staff and, backed by this, ignored or bullied employees and trainees."
In particular, he stated, "A reprimanded trainees for not greeting him, and on days he was in a bad mood, the atmosphere became so tense that the entire company felt it." He continued, "During group dance practice, he treated other trainees like lesser beings, frequently using profanity and harsh critiques, and made them practice for hours without turning on the air conditioning."
In the process, the whistleblower alleged that A used coarse language, saying, "Hey, you should talk to me and turn on the air conditioning," and "What are you even good for, you piece of sh*t." The trainees suffered from mental health issues such as panic disorder, depression, and anxiety as a result, with some reportedly receiving psychiatric care and medication. Additionally, the author shocked readers by attaching their psychiatric treatment record and insurance claim.
