Broadcaster Kim So-young, a former announcer, shared her honest thoughts on her marriage with her husband Oh Sang-jin.
In the KBS2TV entertainment program Problem Child in House aired on the 17th, Kim So-young appeared to reveal the behind-the-scenes of her romance with Oh Sang-jin and their daily life after marriage.
On that day, Kim So-young recalled, "Marriage is the biggest deviation of my life," and added, "I decided on my resignation from MBC, marriage, and starting a business all in the same year. It was an incredibly eventful year." She continued, "I never intended to marry someone well-known, but when my relationship with Oh Sang-jin became public, it felt like a significant challenge."
The couple's connection dates back to when they started at MBC together. Kim So-young said, "Oh Sang-jin was my homeroom teacher during my training period at MBC. We naturally became closer while working together." She also added that Oh Sang-jin expressed his feelings first after she resigned.
In particular, Oh Sang-jin's flirting was revealed, catching attention. Kim So-young laughed, saying, "During a dinner gathering when I was a rookie, Oh Sang-jin asked me, 'Do I seem like a lifelong bachelor?' At the time, I thought he was just curious. Now that I think about it, it was clearly flirting." Oh Sang-jin's close friend Han Seok-jun mentioned, "Oh Sang-jin had feelings for her even when he was her homeroom teacher," which brought more laughter. Kim So-young responded, "I just thought he was a kind person to everyone."
The couple has entered their 8th year of marriage. Kim So-young stated, "We needed time to adapt to each other. Now we have a relationship that we manage well." She added, "We are a logical TT couple. We agreed not to bother each other at night and also not in the morning," causing laughter in the studio. When Hong Jin Kyung asked, "Then when can couples bother each other?" Kim So-young replied, "That's the only flaw," making everyone laugh. The cast playfully advised, "Just poke each other whenever you can."
Meanwhile, Oh Sang-jin and Kim So-young realized a capital gain of around 7 billion won from their building investment in Hannam-dong. A media outlet reported on the 10th that the couple sold the building located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, which they purchased in 2017 for 2.3 billion won in joint ownership with person A, for 9.6 billion won.
