The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) hosted the innovative technology XR performance 'ON THE K: FANTASIA,' which successfully concluded its stage through a live broadcast on YouTube.
'ON THE K: FANTASIA' is a planned performance presented at the online performance studio 'KOCCA Music Studio' established by the Ministry and KOCCA in Olympic Park, Seoul. The dimensionally different XR immersive performance, set against the backdrop of Africa's Serengeti, featured Heo Yongbae (Heo Gak, Shin Yongjae, Lim Han-byeol), Im Woojin, and Kyu Bin on stage.
In particular, Kyu Bin's performance, which illuminated the opening stage, was produced with XR technology and stage art that vividly depicted the vast Serengeti grassland of nature and began with the song 'Square (2017),' which matched Kyu Bin's refreshing vocal tone. Additionally, he enhanced the performance's completeness with new technologies by introducing requested songs and stories received through pre-SNS interactions.
In this performance, Kyu Bin captivated fans with an attractive fan service that went beyond simply singing. After covering Baek Yerin's 'Square (2017),' he played the electric guitar and passionately delivered the emotional song 'I Hope It Reaches You' by 10cm, conveying his unique delicate emotions. He then heated up the atmosphere by presenting a band version of 'Evergreen,' a track from his first mini-album 'Flowering,' maximizing the charm of the song with a different sound from the original.
Moreover, during the talk time, he surprised fans with an unexpected guitar performance that drew cheers from the audience. Kyu Bin's relaxed appearance playing the guitar and singing on stage radiated an irreplaceable charm, leaving the audience with unforgettable memories.
The performance 'ON THE K: FANTASIA,' which showcased Kyu Bin's shining live performance proving his broad musical spectrum, is set to be broadcast today (17th) at 6 p.m. on the KOCCA MUSIC and Mobidic official YouTube channels.
Meanwhile, after successfully completing the 'ON THE K: FANTASIA' performance, Kyu Bin plans to hold a fan concert in Hong Kong in September to spend meaningful time with his global fans.
