"Gogae" is a ballad featuring gentle piano and string sounds, with a growing chorus that leaves a strong impression as emotions rise. The lyrics liken the process of overcoming a hill to life, conveying the message that, despite challenges, one should not be discouraged and should move forward with hope for tomorrow.
Wonwoo directly participated in the writing and composing of the song, expressing his heartfelt feelings towards the fans genuinely. He cherishes the memories of the hills he has crossed with CARAT (fan club name) and is determined to joyfully overcome new hills in the future. Wonwoo attempted a new vocal technique that matches the song's atmosphere, revealing a wide musical color with his clear and husky vocals.
The music video, released simultaneously with the audio track, portrays a lonely cat meeting a butterfly and overcoming a hill together through a piece of animation. It features a lyrical direction that seemingly captures the journey of Wonwoo and his fans, leaving a lingering impression on viewers.
Wonwoo has broadened his musical spectrum by trying out various genres through team albums and unit and solo songs. In SEVENTEEN's 5th studio album track "99.9% (WONWOO Solo)," he created a lovely atmosphere with refreshing band sounds, while in the single "Yujitong" featuring Jeonghan and Wonwoo, he showcased a powerful and appealing voice.
