The controversy arising from Koyote's Shin Ji's fiancé, Moon Won, exchanging messages with the transgender Sara through Instagram direct messages (DM) has ended as a 'happening.'
This controversy began during a broadcast by transgender BJ Kkotja. As the controversy spread, Kkotja noted on the 16th, 'Mr. Moon was unaware that Sara was gay or had transitioned to being transgender.'
On the 11th, two transgender individuals appeared as grants on Kkotja's broadcast. During this, Sara revealed that she and Moon have a social media (SNS) mutual follow relationship while answering viewers' questions. Additionally, in response to a question about whether she could reveal the DM content exchanged with Moon for 100 million won, she said, 'I could do it for 1 billion won.' This led to speculation that their relationship might be more than just followers.
As the controversy escalated, Kkotja stated, 'It is true that Mr. Moon and Sara have known each other for a long time, but they did not meet after her transition,' adding, 'Mr. Moon was completely unaware that Sara was gay or had transitioned to being transgender.'
'Those comments did create room for misunderstanding,' she continued, 'But after confirming, there was no problematic conversation,' she said. She also mentioned, 'During the time Sara was preparing for trot music, they were just a simple older brother-younger brother relationship from when she was a man.'
Kkotja remarked, 'Mr. Moon even asked whether it was a joke when seeing Sara's Instagram profile picture, showing how unaware he was of her being transgender,' adding, 'Please do not overinterpret this.'
