Singer Song Gain and Jeong Mi Ae proved the presence of the 'Trot Queens' with their first duet stage at 'Cheotjeong.'
On the 12th, in Seoul's Gangseo District, Song Gain, Jeong Mi Ae, and other members including Kang Ye Seul, Kim Na Hee, Kim So Yu, Kim Hee Jin, Duri, Suk Hyun, and Jeong Da Gyeong (in alphabetical order) held 'We're Doing It Again: Cheotjeong' (hereinafter referred to as 'Cheotjeong') in two sessions at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The concert featured themes of 'nostalgia' that reminded attendees of 'Miss Trot' Season 1 as well as a 'transformation' theme showcasing the members' new appearances, with a total of two performances. The members took to the stage for individual performances displaying their unique charms, as well as duet performances with new combinations, and a group performance by all nine members, delivering captivating stages that engaged the audience.
The highlight was undoubtedly the duet stage of Song Gain and Jeong Mi Ae. This was the first duet stage for the two, drawing the audience's attention. Song Gain also expressed her excitement before the performance, saying, 'We have competed against each other, but this is our first time on a duet stage.'
In the first part, they showcased 'Beautiful Rivers and Mountains,' and in the second part, they presented 'Ah! Korea,' igniting the atmosphere. Both songs allowed the audience to witness their powerful vocal abilities, as Song Gain and Jeong Mi Ae engaged in what seemed like a duel of overwhelming vocal prowess, beautifully harmonizing together and thrilling the audience.
Particularly, the section where Song Gain and Jeong Mi Ae exchanged high notes during 'Beautiful Rivers and Mountains' was the climax. Their explosive high notes, dazzling ad-libs, and powerful performances captivated the audience, drawing intense applause.
'Cheotjeong' concert has provided various spectacles, presenting a new legendary stage for Trot fans, leading to requests for a nationwide tour and inquiries about rewatching the live broadcast. With the members of 'Miss Trot' Season 1 reuniting after six years and proving the elegance of the originals, expectations for their future performances are rising even higher.
