Director Lee Jung-heum, Namgoong-min, and Jeon Yeo-bin revealed their favorite scenes from 'Our Movie.'
The SBS weekend drama 'Our Movie' (directed by Lee Jung-heum, written by Han Ga-eun and Kang Kyung-min, produced by Studio S and Beyond J) contains lines and scenes that encapsulate the preciousness of love and life, deeply resonating with viewers. Thus, we explored what the favorite scenes are for the main characters of 'Our Movie,' Director Lee Jung-heum, Namgoong-min (playing Lee Je-ha), and Jeon Yeo-bin (playing Lee Da-eum).
Director Lee Jung-heum, known for his detailed direction and emotional visuals, added to the enjoyment of viewing by recalling, "Lee Da-eum (played by Jeon Yeo-bin) in episode 2 says, 'The moments you let pass by are a fantasy and a dream to me, but you live not knowing this?' This scene was filmed early on in the shooting.
He continued, "Seeing Lee Da-eum, whose life is nearing its end, talk about the preciousness of living in this moment was a moment for me as a director to understand and empathize more with the theme of this drama, while also firmly establishing the direction of the production. Jeon Yeo-bin, who is portraying Lee Da-eum, a terminally ill actress reflecting on the importance of today, noted, "In a letter to her father, there is a line that says, 'I want to create my own ending.'" She chose this narration from episode 5.
The letter left by Lee Da-eum contained her strong will to achieve her dream of becoming an actress, even going so far as to escape from the hospital against the opposition of her father, Lee Jung-hyo (played by Kwon Hae-hyo). Regarding this scene, Jeon Yeo-bin stated, "I think this line best encapsulates Da-eum's ability to show decisiveness despite her circumstances."
On the other hand, Namgoong-min, who is portraying Lee Je-ha, a film director learning about love, chose his favorite scene from episode 12, which has not yet aired, adding to the intrigue. He shared, "As those who have watched the drama would know, Je-ha does not easily express laughter or tears. However, when filming this scene, the suppressed emotions came rushing out all at once."
Furthermore, he stated, "This scene was special from the moment I first received the script, and I cried more than I expected while shooting. It openly expressed Je-ha's emotions, so it will remain in my memory for a long time," raising curiosity about the scene that has deeply etched itself in Namgoong-min's memory.
