The boy group NEXZ under JYP Entertainment released their second EP album 'One Bite' in Japan today (16th).
NEXZ presented their second EP album 'One Bite' in Japan at midnight on July 16. Ahead of the official release of the new album, they appeared on Japan's representative music program TV Asahi 'Music Station' on June 27, showcasing a stage for the included song 'Simmer (Japanese Ver.)' and demonstrating their appeal as 'next-generation performance hotspots.' From July 14 to 15, they heated up the atmosphere by opening a music video teaser that highlights NEXZ's unique free-spiritedness and performance.
The new album includes a total of six songs, led by the title track 'One Bite,' 'BURNING BLACK,' 'Make it Better,' 'One Day,' along with the title track of their mini album 2, 'O-RLY?' and the Japanese version of the included song 'Simmer.' The title track 'One Bite' is a song that portrays the process of breaking the mold and discovering the 'true self,' featuring a memorable melody and lyrics that linger after a single listen, along with a dramatic sound composition that conveys NEXZ's distinct free energy.
NEXZ plans to carry out a variety of promotions in Japan to commemorate the album release and increase their visibility. From July 16 to August 21, they will introduce canned drinks featuring NEXZ images based on the concept of the new album 'One Bite' through Suntory vending machines nationwide. On October 6, they will appear at the 'Lemino MUSIC FES,' a music festival organized by the video service platform Lemino, held at the Osaka-Kansai Expo in Japan.
Recently, NEXZ has been successfully continuing their first live tour 'NEXZ LIVE TOUR 2025 "One Bite"' with a scale of '18 performances in 15 cities across Japan.' Amid a string of sold-out tickets, they have met with fans in seven cities so far, and on the 18th and 19th, they will hold a total of two solo performances at Tokyo Budokan, known as the 'holy ground of Japanese performances,' marking a turning point in the tour. With their remarkable growth, NEXZ is drawing attention as they take the stage at Budokan, a venue symbolizing significance in Japanese popular music, nearly a year after their official debut in the local market.
