Actress Ji Hye-won shared her heartfelt thoughts as the drama comes to an end.
Ji Hye-won appeared as the villain Do Hwa-seon, who continuously tormented the protagonists in the KBS2 drama 'The First Night With the Duke' (written by Jeon Seon-young, directed by Lee Woong-hee, produced by Studio N, Monster Union), and created a new villain character, impressing viewers with her unique performance.
Do Hwa-seon, who opened with various evil deeds from her first appearance, revealed a fierce expression and jealous gaze toward the thorn in her side, Jo Eun-ae (Kwon Han-sol), and her alternative, Seo-hyun, engaging in a tense psychological battle over Kyung-seong-gun Ibeon (Ok Taecyeon). Furthermore, she expressed extreme emotions unreservedly amidst entangled relationships with all characters in the show, adding to the charm of her character by vividly portraying each scene.
With the final episode approaching, Ji Hye-won noted, "It doesn't feel real that a year has passed since meeting the drama 'The First Night With the Duke' until the last episode. Last winter, everyone worked hard and dedicated themselves to this project; it is such a pleasure and happiness to finally share this enjoyable journey with the viewers in the summer when the hybrid hibiscus blooms."
She continued, "Hwa-seon, who had many tears and much love, really hoped to be loved by the viewers while the drama aired, and I feel so happy that I received great love. I believe if you spent cheerful and bright moments while watching our drama, that is enough. Please enjoy the last episode, and Hwa-seon will leave to find true love. Thank you sincerely for watching us all this time."
With her stable acting skills bringing life to the character, Ji Hye-won is expected to clear the false charges of having kidnapped Seo-hyun in the drama 'The First Night With the Duke,' which will air on the 16th, and to make a turnaround.
