Actress Lee Cheong-a has newly joined the cast of the drama 'Honor,' while Kwak Sun-young unfortunately did not make it.
On the 16th, according to OSEN's coverage, Lee Cheong-a recently received an offer to be cast in the new drama 'Honor' and positively reviewed it, confirming her appearance.
Lee Cheong-a will play Hwang Hyun-jin, one of the L&J attorneys. She is a proactive character among three female attorneys who are friends for 20 years; originally, this character was expected to be played by Kwak Sun-young, but it ultimately did not happen. As the last attorney cast, Lee Cheong-a will work alongside Lee Na-young and Jung Eun-chae.
Lee Cheong-a is expected to transform after choosing a new project for the first time in a year since the Coupang Play drama 'Hide' released last year. Lee Cheong-a, who gained wide recognition through the movie 'The Seduction of the Wolf' (2004), has appeared in 'Because This is My First Life,' 'VIP,' 'Day and Night,' 'One Thousand Won Lawyer,' 'Celebrity,' and 'Lovers,' and also served as an MC on the dating reality show 'Heart Pairing' that ended last June.
'Honor' is a mystery thriller about three attorneys who confront a massive scandal from the past through an intense woman-centric pursuit. It is adapted from the Swedish drama of the same name to fit the Korean sensibility and reality. Lee Na-young plays attorney Yoon Ra-young from L&J Law Firm, while Jung Eun-chae portrays the firm's representative, Kang Shin-jae.
Meanwhile, 'Honor' will start filming in August, and scheduling is under discussion.
