Today, on the 16th, the group If Eye, celebrating 100 days since their debut, mentioned their closest goal is to win the Rookie of the Year award.
On the afternoon of the 16th, a showcase was held to commemorate the release of If Eye's second mini album Wave 'Nang' Pt.2 'sweet tang' at Bluesquare SOL Travel Hall in Yongsan, Seoul.
If the debut album 'ERLU BLUE' captured the excitement of girls facing their first waves, this second mini album Wave 'Nang' Pt.2 'sweet tang' anticipates the girls' full-fledged growth narrative placed right in the middle of those rolling waves.
The title track 'r u ok?' is a song that embodies the unique charm of If Eye, resembling a powerful dance song while featuring a delicate instrumental arrangement and intricately designed groove, which is expected to capture listeners' ears. In particular, the powerful choreography that enhances the song's appeal is anticipated to provide an emotional experience akin to watching a performance.
When asked about their goals and role models on their 100th day since debut, Miyu said, "Our role model is If Eye in 10 years. It's good to aim for someone and walk that path, but we want to focus on walking our own path without limitations."
Rahee also added, "The closest goal is to win the Rookie of the Year award," and noted, "I hope that in the future, we can be known by people around the world and become a song that brings happiness and comfort."
The members also spoke about key scenes in the music video for 'r u ok?'. Kassia said, "There's a scene in the music video where we dance inside a huge trailer. I was really looking forward to this dance scene that isn't in the performances, and I think it turned out well."
This choreography will not be revealed in performances. Leader Kassia expressed her hope that if they rank first, they could show the music video choreography during the encore stage, saying, "It would be great if we get first place and can reveal it."
Meanwhile, If Eye will release their mini album Wave 'Nang' Pt.2 'sweet tang' at 6 p.m. on the 16th and make their comeback.
