Kim Ji-sun, known as the 'queen of childbirth,' made a biting remark about the government's childbirth policies.
Recently, a video titled 'Why are daycare centers always full? They're in a frenzy about not having children' was released on the YouTube channel 'Yeoido Yooktoe Club.' On that day, Kim Ji-sun said, 'I lost the title to Jeong Joo-ri, but I was originally the 'queen of childbirth,'' smiling, while Kwak Beom jokingly suggested, 'You should go to the National Assembly instead.'
Kim Ji-sun shared her experience as a mother of multiple children, saying, 'There is a 5-year age gap between my first and youngest child. When they were in elementary school, all four of them attended at the same time in grades 1, 3, 5, and 6. The school had never seen anything like it.'
She further expressed, 'When I attend events related to low birth rates, those actually lacking reproductive ability are sitting there. How can those people create policies? They have no willingness to hear practical stories,' raising her voice.
She also addressed the issue of career break. Kim Ji-sun noted, 'One of the reasons women don't have children is anxiety about returning to work. They worry, 'Can I work again? Can I work like I used to?''
Sleepy, who appeared alongside her, pointed out the contradiction in policies, saying, 'They claim there are no children, yet daycare centers are always full. If I hadn't had a second child, I wouldn't have even dreamed of public daycare.'
