The 'New York kimchi pancake' he referred to is the incident that occurred during the 2009 MBC 'Infinite Challenge' 'Food Guest - New York Special.' At that time, chef Myung Hyun-ji advised, "Kimchi doesn't taste good if washed," but Jeong Jun-ha would not back down. The result was disastrous. All the kimchi pancakes were burnt, and he jokingly said, "This has turned into a pancake," or insisted, "I think it's delicious." That scene is still mentioned today as a 'nuisance meme.'
Fifteen years later, Jeong Jun-ha promised while making the same kimchi pancake again, saying, "Now, I will follow your opinions over mine."
