The national crime prevention program "Brave Detectives" is launching an unprecedented collaboration with the legendary detective animation "Detective Conan."
On the 16th, a special profiling video of Tcast E Channel's "Brave Detectives 4" (directed by Lee Yi-kyung) and the theatrical film "Detective Conan: The Shadow of the Eye" will be released on E Channel's YouTube channel, heightening fan anticipation. This special collaboration was formed to celebrate the release of "Detective Conan: The Shadow of the Eye" on the same day.
On that day, MC Lee Yi-kyung surprised everyone by saying, "Conan has been serialized for 31 years." Based on the bestselling comic that has surpassed a cumulative circulation of 270 million copies worldwide, "Detective Conan" has consistently captured love from fans, premiering annual theatrical releases starting with the first film, "The Clock Tower's Target," establishing it as a definitive bestseller in the detective genre.
Lee Yi-kyung, Ahn Jung-hwan, Kim Sun-young, and Professor Kwon Il-yong passionately recreate iconic lines and signature actions from "Detective Conan," heating up the studio. In particular, Professor Kwon Il-yong noted that he still watches "Detective Conan" often, revealing that he "sometimes argues with his wife" during the process of deducing the culprit, which is expected to elicit laughter. Professor Kwon's reasons for enjoying "Detective Conan" were also disclosed, drawing attention.
The previous installment's end-credit scene from "Detective Conan: The Pentagram of One Million Dollars" will serve as a clue for the MCs of "Brave Detectives" as they attempt to deduce the content of this new film. They continue their deduction while referencing the snow-covered mountain and the meaning of the eye, which signifies "one eye."
In particular, upon seeing Detective Mori awake, Professor Kwon mentioned, "I feel like he will play a role this time," while Lee Yi-kyung hinted at Mori's active involvement by saying, "Detective Mori does not sleep." Along with a striking preview video celebrating the collaboration, it has been revealed that Yamato Kanske, Uehara Yui, and Morohushi Takaaki will star in the film, set against the backdrop of Nagano Prefecture in Japan.
The MCs of "Brave Detectives" will analyze various scenes from the urban shooting incident and the culprit who vanished after abandoning a motorcycle in front of the subway, tying them to the cases covered in the actual program. The sharp performances of the MCs, enhanced by investigative know-how learned through the series, are highly anticipated. The process of deducing the unmasked criminal's punishment also heightens curiosity.
To celebrate the release, the collaboration between "Brave Detectives" and "Detective Conan: The Shadow of the Eye" will unravel the secrets connected to the snowfall shooting incident that occurred 10 months ago, as Conan and Mori Kogoro begin to recall the memories of a case that had been forgotten by Detective Kanske, with a white-out mystery action unfolding on the snowy mountain.
Meanwhile, "Brave Detectives 4" airs every Friday at 9:50 p.m., and will also be available on major OTT platforms like Netflix, Tving, and Wavve. The first digital spin-off content of "Brave Detectives," titled "Bro, Chit Chat," successfully concluded Season 1, and is set to return with a revamped Season 2 starting from the 25th. It will be released every Friday on the E Channel's YouTube channel and Monday broadcasts on E Channel.
