[OSNE=Sun Mi-kyung] Once again, IU did it. Park Hye-kyung is benefiting significantly from the effect of junior singer IU.
The music investment platform Musicow released information about the June copyright settlement. The copyright fee per share for Park Hye-kyung's 'Red Sneakers,' which generated a lot of buzz due to IU's remake, rose 180 times compared to the previous month.
According to the recently released Musicow 'settlement note', in June, the copyright fee per share for Park Hye-kyung's 'Red Sneakers' is 21,218 won. This represents an increase of more than 180 times compared to 113 won in May, showing the highest increase. This song garnered attention when IU released a remake audio track at the end of May, and the announcement of the additional trust property due to the creation of a derivative work (remake song) has been completed. Looking at the proportion of copyright fees for 'Red Sneakers', which recorded the highest increase rate compared to the previous month, 89.9% is attributed to reproduction royalties generated when used in album production, movies, and advertisements.
Following 'Red Sneakers', Four Minute's 'Can't Help Myself', C JAMM's 'Beautiful (Feat. Zico)', Daesung's 'BABY DON'T CRY', and Cha Eun-woo's (ASTRO) 'Rainbow Falling' recorded high increases compared to the previous month.
The increase rates of copyright fees by major media were also announced. The top 5 songs with high increases in performance media copyright fees generated at concerts include INFINITE's 'PARADISE', Daesung's 'BABY DON'T CRY', SG Wannabe's 'We Will Tell Our Story', Gummy's 'I'm Sorry (Feat.
