Actor Jung In-sun revealed the reason for selecting the project ahead of the first broadcast of "Wonderful Days."
KBS2's new weekend drama "Wonderful Days" (written by So Hyun-kyoung, directed by Kim Hyung-seok, produced by Studio Coming Soon, Studio Bom, Monster Union) is a generationally relatable family melodrama about "everyone has their own wonderful days, whether in the present, past, or future, each meeting with different meanings."
Jung In-sun plays the role of Ji Eun-oh, a representation of cheerful and unclouded loveliness. Eun-oh dreams passionately even in difficult circumstances and has a bright personality that loves without regrets. Although she stands at the center of various trials and secrets, it will be interesting to see how Jung In-sun portrays the character of Ji Eun-oh, who always overcomes tough days with strength and positivity.
Regarding the reason for choosing the project, Jung In-sun said, "I heard that writer So Hyun-kyoung and director Kim Hyung-seok, with whom I wanted to work at least once, are reuniting after a long time," and added, "After hearing the writer's explanation of Eun-oh, I felt a stronger desire to participate."
Jung In-sun, who constantly contemplated how to express her character for her first full-length drama, described Eun-oh as "a proactive character who, rather than being trapped in worries or sorrows, acts and carves out her own life, even if it is more difficult than a stable life." She revealed her affection for the character, stating, "Although it may appear as if she is choosing a more challenging path instead of an easy one, the fact that she fills her life only with her choices leads to a high level of satisfaction with life, which is both attractive and similar to me."
In addition, she shared about her acting chemistry with co-star Jung Il-woo. "We comfortably shared ideas about each other's roles and exchanged advice while trying various approaches. Thanks to that, I felt like we were painting the same picture together with a much richer emotional line," she mentioned, adding excitement about the chemistry they will showcase.
Meanwhile, Jung In-sun chose the keywords "workaholic," "love," and "voice" to describe her role as Ji Eun-oh. She explained her choice by saying, "Eun-oh is an action-oriented interior designer who jumps into work at any moment." Additionally, she stated, "The character Eun-oh is always underpinned by love. Because she knows how to love herself, she can ultimately overcome various trials, and moreover, she is a warm person who embraces others." She continued, "I have quite a low-toned voice, and I think my low tone could fit Ji Eun-oh's character, so I plan to express Eun-oh in my usual tone," raising expectations for the high synchronization rate between Jung In-sun and the character.
Finally, Jung In-sun expressed, "I am diligently working on the filming of the drama 'Wonderful Days,' which will soon meet viewers. I am excited about meeting them with warm and refreshing stories. I ask for a lot of expectations and interest."
KBS2's new weekend drama "Wonderful Days" will premiere at 8 p.m. on August 9 as a follow-up to "For Eagle Brothers."
