Kyungrim Park's good deeds have been revealed again.
On the 14th, Lee Ji-hoon invited Sun-ye and Kim Dong-jun, who are performing on stage together, to his dining table on Channel A's 'Close Friends Documentary: Four-Person Dining Table.' MC Kyungrim Park, who is also performing in the musical as the 'Creative Director' and 'Principal of Girin High School,' naturally continued the conversation about musicals with the three of them.
Lee Ji-hoon, who plays 'Kang Oh-hyuk' in 'Dream High,' revealed the fate that led him to join the musical 'Dream High' while reuniting with his longtime friend Kyungrim Park. Kyungrim Park noted, "There was originally a friend who was supposed to play 'Kang Oh-hyuk,' but due to an overseas schedule, we had to split the three actors into two. During this time, I ended up participating in 'Immortal Songs,' and Lee Ji-hoon came out with Son Jun-ho and the competition team," recalling the moment she met Lee Ji-hoon again after a long time. In response, Lee Ji-hoon said, "I participated in 'Mr. Trot 3' but got eliminated in the semifinals. I thought I would make it to the TOP 7, so I cleared my schedule for concerts, broadcasts, and even plans to go to Japan every weekend. I was all in on trot this year, but when I got eliminated, I thought, 'What is this? What should I do?'" reflecting on that moment of emptiness and confusion.
During this time, Lee Ji-hoon encountered the 'Dream High' team through another program and learned from Kyungrim Park, his 'close friend,' about the casting vacancy for the role of 'Kang Oh-hyuk.' In response, Lee Ji-hoon said, "When I woke up in the morning, Kyungrim popped into my mind. I immediately called her and asked, 'What would it be like if I played Kang Oh-hyuk?'" Kyungrim Park expressed her apology, saying, "It's a creative musical, so the budget is tight, and I can't pay you much for your appearance fees," but Lee Ji-hoon responded, "I was grateful. I had a six-month schedule open. I had just welcomed my child, and with formula and diaper costs… I was anxious because there was no work, and then a savior appeared. Ever since then, work opportunities have flooded in. I realized how one meets a benefactor like this," expressing his boundless gratitude to Kyungrim and eliciting laughter.
Meanwhile, Sun-ye, who reunited with Lee Ji-hoon through 'Dream High' and performed in her first musical together, remarked, "Just watching you act on stage has been a tremendous learning experience for me. Observing your breathing techniques and stage acting has been a great help to me," acknowledging Lee Ji-hoon as a textbook-level musical actor with 20 years of experience. Kyungrim Park also resonated with Lee Ji-hoon's practice, saying, "It's important to work hard," affirming Lee Ji-hoon's skills that have been honed over time as a 'musical prince.'
