The best female vocalists representing Korea have come together.
The project group SONIJIYOO, featuring Son Seung-yeon, Lee Ye-joon, Ji Se-hee, and Yoo Sung-eun, will release their first single "Take My Hand (A Song for You)" today (15th) at noon.
They won first place together during the KBS program "Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend" in 2015 with their stage performance of "One Candle," and received the praise of "Vocal Avengers," leaving a strong impression. The bond formed on that stage continued for nearly 10 years as a close friendship, and they have finally come together through music again.
The new song "A Song for You" contains a warm message that says, "No matter how much I crumble, I will always be by your side." It serves as a comfort song for those going through tough times, and the four members contributed to the lyrics and composition, adding sincerity. Their friendship, which has been the strongest support for one another, is beautifully woven into the music.
The production is handled by Klozer, who is active in K-Pop and drama OSTs, alongside artists like Baek Ji-young, CNBLUE, and Hwang Ga-ram. The songwriting team Command K, led by him, has enhanced the song's quality, and diverse vocals highlighting the unique charms and emotions of the four members are expected to captivate listeners.
SONIJIYOO noted, "As we have been for each other, we hope this song serves as a small strength for someone," adding, "It's like a gift for the fans who have waited so long."
SONIJIYOO's first step, "A Song for You," can be enjoyed on all music streaming sites starting today (15th) at noon.
