The Netflix series "Wednesday" season 2 part 1 is set to be released on Aug. 6 (Wed), and it has been confirmed that director Tim Burton and actors Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers will visit Korea.
The Netflix series "Wednesday," which topped the Netflix global Top 10 TV (English) institutional sector with over 1.7 billion viewing hours, has created a global phenomenon and is returning with season 2, exciting fans as Tim Burton, Jenna Ortega, and Emma Myers confirm their visit.
"Wednesday" season 2 will hold a fan event of epic scale on the evening of Aug. 10 (Sun) at Yeongdeungpo Times Square, marking its first meeting with Korean fans. The fan event, themed as 'Nevermore Academy' orientation, will take place in a space that vividly realizes the unique world of "Wednesday," offering various programs where fans can wear costumes and props from the show. Moreover, a special time will be arranged for closer communication with fans through diverse programs, including a Q&A interview with Tim Burton, Jenna Ortega, and Emma Myers, as well as quizzes. Applications for this event will be open for just 9 days, from July 15 (Tue) to July 23 (Wed), and anyone over the age of 15 can apply.
The day after the fan event, on the evening of Aug. 11 (Mon), there will be a GV (guest visit) for "Wednesday" season 2 at Ewha Womans University, called 'Introduction to Wednesday.' This GV will feature a deep discussion about the work, hosted by film journalist Lee Eun-sun, with contributions from director Tim Burton, Jenna Ortega, and Emma Myers. Notably, director Tim Burton will introduce new characters appearing in season 2, key directing points, the production process, and share behind-the-scenes stories about acting, filming experiences, and previews of part 2, which will be released in September. This GV is expected to cover a broad range of topics, creating a special time that will remain in fans' memories. Applications will be available from July 28 (Mon) to Aug. 1 (Fri), with further details to be announced later on Netflix Korea's official social media.
In addition, with the special visit of the "Wednesday" team, various content filming in Korea is planned, so there are high expectations for abundant 'teasers' for fans to enjoy.
"Wednesday" season 2 part 1, which has evolved with an even more advanced story and the introduction of new characters, is set to be released only on Netflix on Aug. 6 (Wed), following the overwhelming love and praise received globally for its unique world from season 1.
