Lee Ji-hoon revealed a story related to his debut.

Lee Ji-hoon began to talk about his debut. He said, "Back then, street casting was all about looks. There was SM Entertainment near my school. Casting managers used to wander around the school area (casting). Kangta, Moon Hee-jun, and Jeon Jin were all cast that way."
He continued, "(The casting managers) did not come to our school. That's why I didn't get cast by SM. After I debuted, I was really close with H.O.T. Teacher Lee Soo-man said, 'If I had met you back then, you would have taken Kangta's place.'"
