Broadcaster Park Na-rae reported on the aftermath of the theft incident.
On the 14th, Park Na-rae appeared as a guest on MBC Standard FM's 'Son Tae-jin's Trot Radio.' She was originally scheduled to appear in April, but had to suddenly cancel due to a burglary at her home.
On that day, Park Na-rae said, "The perpetrator has been caught, is under trial, and I have received everything back. I'm very relieved." She continued, "The bag I brought today is the very item that was stolen back then. It is a symbolic item for me."
When Son Tae-jin commented, "Since that day, perhaps due to trauma, you brought that bag today," Park Na-rae humorously expressed, "That friend (the perpetrator) went around every second-hand luxury shop in Gangnam. Just like a salmon returning home, it circled around and came back to me."
Park Na-rae added, "On the day I was scheduled to appear live, I had to cancel due to going to the police station for a witness interrogation."
Meanwhile, Park Na-rae drew attention by purchasing a detached house in Itaewon in 2021 for approximately 5.5 billion won, revealing the interior through 'Home Alone' and other programs.
Subsequently, Park Na-rae was shocked after losing valuables worth millions of won from her home in Yongsan, Seoul. The suspect was a stranger to Park Na-rae, had previous similar offenses, and was under investigation for other theft charges.
In relation to this, Park Na-rae appeared on a YouTube entertainment show, recalling, "Sister Jimin is getting married to (Brother Kim Jun-ho) in July, and my friends suggested we take wedding photos together, so I tried to bring out the most expensive bag. It was a bag I had carefully kept inside, but it was gone. From that moment, my mental state collapsed."
The bag in question is a luxury item worth millions of won. Park Na-rae's loyalty, wanting to perfectly accompany her friend for the wedding shoot as a prop, inadvertently led to her discovering the theft. She quickly sought advice from a close younger sibling, searched for similar products on a second-hand luxury platform, and confirmed that a bag with the same color and year was listed. She immediately reported it to the police, and the incident was quickly brought into investigation. Ultimately, a suspect in his 30s was apprehended.
