Seo Jang-hoon shed tears over his mother's story.
On the 14th broadcast of KBS Joy "Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller", Seo Jang-hoon became teary-eyed over a story about his mother.
That day, the storyteller said she was a mother raising four children and currently a chronic kidney failure patient undergoing dialysis. Lee Sugeun deeply empathized, recalling his wife who is about to receive a kidney transplant after recently undergoing dialysis.
The storyteller said, "It's tough for my husband to manage alone. I want to work, but it's hard to do so because of the dialysis schedule." In response, Seo Jang-hoon advised, "Taking care of yourself and not overexerting is more beneficial to the family in the long run than working."
The storyteller said, "My eldest daughter had a dream, but she gave it up because of me." The daughter had dreamed of being a pianist but said she gave up her dream due to financial difficulties.
The storyteller said, "Since the family circumstances are not good, I asked her to understand. After crying for about a month, she gave up." The daughter also became teary-eyed.
Seo Jang-hoon advised, "I hope she doesn't think that she gave up her dream because of her mother. What's more important than mother's health? As you live, new passions will always arise. Dreams will change according to circumstances."
Seo Jang-hoon became teary-eyed while looking at the daughter. He said, "Isn't it great to have a mother? Then you should help her a lot." He added, "Whenever I talk about my mother, I feel this way," appearing to recall his deceased mother and expressing a heartbroken sentiment.
The daughter said, "I am reducing my time on my phone and helping take care of my younger siblings." Seo Jang-hoon requested, "As the eldest, if you take good care of your siblings and try to understand your mother, she will feel less stress and be more at ease. Then, mother's health should improve a bit."
Lee Sugeun noted that placing a thermos on the arm where the injection needle is inserted before dialysis helps with blood circulation, saying, "I do it all the time," offering practical advice that caught attention.
