The history of '1 Night 2 Days' has been rewritten.
The KBS2 broadcast of '1 Night 2 Days Season 4' on the 13th was themed 'Buried Hearts: Adventure Travel Special,' showcasing the members heading to Jeju Island.
During the exploration of the world's largest lava cave Byeongdu Cave, Mun Sae-yoon, Lee Joon, and DinDin received a mission to bring out one of the three treasure chests containing gold coins before their escape. The three successfully found all the treasure chests, and among them, they chose the third treasure chest, which contained five gold coins. The second treasure chest they missed had 20 coins inside, leaving them disappointed, and on their way back, they encountered a viper.
After finishing the exploration of Byeongdu Cave and Kimnyeong Cave, the reunited members headed deep into the forest and encountered the breathtaking view created by the breath of lava, known as 'Lava Bridge.' Its name, 'Lava Bridge,' comes from its bridge-like shape, and the members were captivated by the exposed roots of trees as they observed lava traces displayed by volcanic formations. The curator noted, 'The tree relies on the stone, and the stone relies on the tree,' conveying a Jeju proverb.
Upon hearing this, DinDin said, 'It resembles Mun Sae-yoon. The family relies on Mun Sae-yoon, and Mun Sae-yoon relies on the family,' eliciting emotion. Mun Sae-yoon replied, 'It's the same with Kim Jong-min. We all are close to him.' Kim Jong-min interjected, 'No, I'm the one who is close,' and Cho Sae-ho remarked, 'But it's a bit precarious,' referencing Kim Jong-min's absence on his honeymoon for 18 years.
After the lava cave experience, the members purchased lunch with the gold coins they collected (17 coins). However, the main dishes, such as braised mackerel and grilled fish, cost 300 coins, so the production team decided to offer it only to the top three through animal quizzes. As various animal quizzes were presented, Lee Joon astonishingly answered incorrectly for 10 consecutive questions, and during an OX quiz, a bizarre scene unfolded where the members wrote the opposite of Lee Joon's answers. Kim Jong-min joked, 'He has no common sense and no luck,' and 'It's the first time in 18 years to score zero,' while Cho Sae-ho, who had trusted Lee Joon on the last question, shot him a glare after stepping on his foot. Lee Joon even got the bonus game that was for one plate of mackerel wrong, setting a new record of 11 consecutive incorrect answers.
After lunch, Cho Sae-ho, Lee Joon, and Yoo Seon-ho, who chose motion sickness medication, received a mission to enter a large ball to collect gold coins, while Kim Jong-min, Mun Sae-yoon, and DinDin, who selected life vests, worked on a mission to find treasure chests under the sea. After obtaining gold coins through the respective missions, the reunited members were led blindfolded to a final mission to gather at the location of the last treasure chest within 10 minutes. While Cho Sae-ho was the first to find the gathering location, Lee Joon and Yoo Seon-ho arrived one after another, and their final time record was 13 minutes and 20 seconds. The members, who collected a total of 68 gold coins, successfully earned a night's sleep.
