Mnet's BOYS 2 PLANET (directed by Kim Shin-young, Jung Woo-young, and Ko Jeong-kyung) has returned with a differentiated format that maximizes global expansion, fitting the moniker of a K-POP world-scale debut project. Under the same conditions of embarking on a journey to the top with the global fandom 'Star Creator,' the world has been vastly broadened with K and C planets.
As the worldview has doubled, so have the expectations. Kim Shin-young, the producer overseeing BOYS 2 PLANET, noted that from the planning stage, they considered how to present unexpected 'surprises' that exceed expectations. He said, 'As audition programs have increased recently, the viewers' standards have also risen, leading us to aim to deliver new enjoyment through unexpected developments and compositions. We have captured surprising flows and moments throughout the first episode.'
Above all, broadcasting separately as BOYS 2 PLANET K and BOYS 2 PLANET C represents a significant challenge for the production team. Kim Shin-young said, 'With more global participants, we wanted to properly showcase their characters and stories. We divided the program into Korean (K) and Chinese (C) according to the language used, creating an environment where participants can express themselves and showcase their charms more freely.'
In this division, he explained, 'Since the characters and realities of the participants are entirely different, viewers can also experience unexpected enjoyment arising from diversity.'
