CUBE Entertainment's rookie boy group NOWZ has entered full-scale activities after successfully holding a comeback commemorative fan showcase.
NOWZ (Hyun-bin, Yoon, Yeon-woo, Jin-hyuk, Si-yoon) held their first mini-album 'IGNITION' release commemorative fan showcase on the 9th at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. In particular, YUQI from i-dle (IDLE), who produced the pre-release single 'Fly Free (Feat. YUQI),' hosted the event and cheered for CUBE Entertainment's junior group NOWZ.
NOWZ opened the fan showcase with a stage for the new album's track 'Problem Child,' which is considered one of the best performances they have unveiled so far. Additionally, they presented various stages, including the title track 'EVERGLOW,' which boldly challenged the rock genre, and 'Fly Free feat. YUQI (i-dle),' capturing the attention of the fans present.
Next, Jin-hyuk explained about the new album, saying, "It embodies NOWZ's identity and narrative. Each track is a gift set with different moods." Additionally, Hyun-bin stated, "Since the fandom has been calling us 'NOWZ,' the new name didn't feel awkward," expressing his thoughts on the rebranding as NOWZ.
On that day, YUQI from i-dle also shone. During the fan showcase, she surprised everyone by appearing in her part of the stage for 'Fly Free (Feat. YUQI),' blending in with NOWZ. She also noted, "Both I and the CUBE family have eagerly awaited NOWZ's comeback as much as the fans did. NOWZ has worked hard in preparing for this comeback."
In addition to the new album stage, NOWZ shared album introductions and behind-the-scenes stories in the segment 'NOWZ Unpacked,' directly responding to concerns submitted by fans in 'a letter to the youth,' and conducting a challenge segment 'Right NOWZ' with DAY_AND, fostering interaction with fans. They concluded the fan showcase by passionately performing 'Diary (DAY_AND),' which is the first fan song and included in this album, and expressed gratitude to the fans by getting emotional.
Yeon-woo expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you for being with us and supporting us on this page of NOWZ's youth. It is thanks to DAY_AND that we can exist on stage." Si-yoon commented, "We will show you more in the future. Thank you to everyone who came even in the heat," while Yoon added, "I look forward to what we will do in the future. I will strive to become a better artist," solidifying his determination.
After finishing the comeback showcase, NOWZ will begin music broadcast activities for the title track 'EVERGLOW' from their first mini-album 'IGNITION' starting with 'M Countdown' on the 10th.
