The group Nowus expressed their feelings about changing their team name and rebranding just a year after their debut.
On the afternoon of the 9th, a showcase was held to celebrate the release of Nowus' (Hyun-bin, Yoon, Yeon-woo, Jin-hyuk, Si-yoon) mini album 'IGNITION' at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
Nowus, celebrating their first anniversary this year, recently declared a name change and rebranding, aiming to establish their identity again and evolve into a leading group. As the meaning of their new team name, 'At this moment, envisioning infinite possibilities,' suggests, they are expected to showcase infinite charm through their first mini album 'IGNITION.'
On this day, Nowus opened up about the team name 'Nowus,' which they changed after one year since their debut. Hyun-bin explained, "The 'Now' in Nowus represents 'this moment,' and the 'z' signifies infinite possibilities. Nowus means that we emanate infinite possibilities from this moment onward."
Was there any pressure in changing the team name? Yeon-woo shared, "Since it was a name fans affectionately called us, I feel familiar with it, and I thought it wouldn't sound difficult. We have returned with new music, so I hope everyone looks forward to it."
Meanwhile, Nowus' mini album 'IGNITION' will be released today (the 9th) at 6 p.m. on various music streaming sites.
