The voice recording site of actors Cha In-pyo, Kwon Oh-jung, and Jang Gwang from 'The King of Kings' has been captured.
On the 9th, the production team of the movie 'The King of Kings' (director Jang Seong-ho, produced by Mopax Studio, distributed by Disstation, co-distributed by Sitess) released a video titled 'Voice of Villains: Behind the Scenes of the Dubbing,' showcasing the overwhelming acting skills and interviews of Cha In-pyo, Kwon Oh-jung, and Jang Gwang.
'The King of Kings' is a Korean animated film that depicts the journey of great stories from 2,000 years ago undertaken by the outstanding British author Charles Dickens and his youngest son Walter. The recently released 'Voice of Villains' video includes behind-the-scenes footage of the dubbing by leading Korean actors who added weight to the villain characters and heartfelt interviews.
First, Cha In-pyo, who played the role of 'Pontius Pilate' and took on his first feature animation challenge, noted, "The story that I knew only in two dimensions came anew to me through animation." He also shared his dedication, saying, "I immersed myself by following the expressions that the character already possessed."
Kwon Oh-jung, who portrayed 'King Herod,' expressed, "It felt as if I became a character in the movie, experiencing the story firsthand," and added, "I am grateful just to be able to lend my voice to a work that is creating a global buzz."
Jang Gwang, who played the role of 'The High Priest,' said, "Even though it is an animation, I was amazed by the living details, from eyebrows to lips," and continued, "Though the character I played is a villain, I believe it plays a crucial role in completing the story, so I did my best." He then expressed his affection for the work, saying, "I hope many people will definitely watch it."
'The King of Kings' is a global K-animation featuring voice performances by leading Korean actors such as Lee Byung-hun, Jin Sun-kyu, Lee Ha-nee, Yang Dong-geun, Cha In-pyo, Kwon Oh-jung, and Jang Gwang. The Korean dubbed version and the subtitled version featuring Hollywood actors will be released simultaneously in theaters across the country on the 16th.
