The group ILLIT has once again succeeded in entering the U.S. Billboard main album chart, the 'Billboard 200,' with their mini album 3.
According to the latest chart announced by Billboard in the U.S. on the 8th (local time), ILLIT's mini album 3, 'bomb,' entered the 'Billboard 200' at 171st. Thus, ILLIT has achieved the remarkable feat of placing all their albums on the 'Billboard 200' since their debut, following the release of their mini album 1, 'SUPER REAL ME,' and mini album 2, 'I'LL LIKE YOU,' last year.
Additionally, 'bomb' ranked 8th on the 'Top Current Album Sales,' 10th on the 'Top Album Sales,' and 25th on the 'World Album' charts. The title track 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)' has maintained its position in the charts for two consecutive weeks on the 'Global 200' and 'Global (excluding the U.S.).'
Based on this achievement, ILLIT secured the top spot on the 'Emerging Artists' chart, which highlights new artists gaining attention worldwide.
ILLIT is gaining popularity with their mini album 'bomb.' This album has broken the initial sales record of their previous works in Korea and Japan, sweeping the top positions in major album charts.
The title track 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)' has seen a steady upward trend even after three weeks since its release. The song entered Melon's 'Top 100' at 76th on June 16, then jumped to 23rd as of midnight on July 9. In the latest weekly chart from Melon (counting period June 30 - July 6), it climbed an impressive 27 spots to 43rd.
ILLIT continues their momentum with the follow-up song 'jellyous.' The funky styling and powerful performance seen in the music video released on the 7th have captivated global fans. They will premiere the stage for 'jellyous' on Mnet's 'M Countdown' tomorrow (10th).
