The group Close Your Eyes is bringing a Christmas in July.
Close Your Eyes (Jeon Min-wook, Maging Xiang, Jang Yeo-jun, Kim Sung-min, Song Seung-ho, Kenshin, Seo Kyung-bae) will return to global fans on the 9th at 6 p.m. by releasing their second mini album 'Snowy Summer' on various music sites.
'Snowy Summer' is an album that presents the story of boys who have turned into free ghosts in a season of twists, humorously and wittily unfolding it. It captures Close Your Eyes' direction of writing 'eternity' crossing between the past and the present time.
The title track 'Snowy Summer', a warm house-influenced pop R&B song, playfully unfolds enjoyable imagination through the contrast of opposing images of 'summer' and 'snow'. The music video, which began with the imagination of 'How free would it be to become a ghost?', contains a witty story of Close Your Eyes, who became ghosts without being able to welcome a white Christmas for unexpected reasons.
The ghosts in the 'Snowy Summer' music video are not lonely beings with grudges as generally thought by people, but rather beings free from all people's perspectives and time, humorously flipping even the extreme situation of 'death'.
The double title track 'Paint Candy' offers 'blue newness' with its unique concept drawn from the paint candy that one has probably tasted at least once in childhood. In addition, the album features a total of four songs, including 'ㅠ', which portrays the innocent feelings of unexpressed love for a friend, and 'Bubble Tea in the Left Hand', which captures excitement through the ordinary theme of bubble tea.
Debuting in March with their first mini album 'Eternality', Close Your Eyes recorded first-week sales of 310,000 copies, achieving an astonishing feat of being the 5th highest first-week sales for a boy group's debut album. Furthermore, with the title track 'All the Poems and Novels Inside Me', they claimed the 1st place on SBS M's 'The Show' just six days into their debut and followed up with 1st place on KBS2's 'Music Bank' nine days after their debut, proving their 'monster rookie' status.
With their rapid comeback after three months, Close Your Eyes is drawing the attention of K-pop fans worldwide with their new music and charm presented in 'Snowy Summer', which captures a cheerful Christmas in July. They are also expected to showcase diverse stages through music broadcast activities with both double title tracks 'Snowy Summer' and 'Paint Candy', raising even greater anticipation.
Close Your Eyes' second mini album 'Snowy Summer', depicting the delightful imaginations of seven ghosts, will be released on various music sites on the 9th at 6 p.m.
