Seong Dong-il responded about his image transformation through 'Pretty Crazy'.
On the 9th, a production briefing for the film 'Pretty Crazy' (provided/distributed by CJ ENM | produced by OUEUNNAEGANG Co., Ltd. | directed by Lee Sang-geun) took place at CGV in Yongsan I-Park Mall, Seoul. The event was attended by Park Kyung-rim as the MC, along with Lim Yoona, Ahn Bo-hyun, Seong Dong-il, Joo Hyun-young, and director Lee Sang-geun.
'Pretty Crazy' is a devilish comedy that depicts the soul-crushing story of a young unemployed man, 'Gil-gu' (Ahn Bo-hyun), who takes on an absurd part-time job watching over 'Seon-ji' (Lim Yoona), who wakes up as a devil every dawn.
That day, Seong Dong-il jokingly said, "I don't have any special image transformation for this work. I worked hard to follow what the director instructed to bring enjoyment."
This is also the new work from director Lee Sang-geun, who has not released a film in six years, following his debut film 'Exit', which attracted 9.42 million viewers and created a massive box office sensation during the summer theater season in Korea.
When asked what he focused on in this work, Seong Dong-il smiled and replied, "Nothing." He continued, "Since the previous work went so well, the director had a lot of pressure, and when I saw him on set, it seemed as if he was almost going mad while filming. He really did his best. I was just, here, a father and a character like a servant."
He then said, "The director wrote it himself, and the set background is actually in the director's neighborhood. Since all the scenes look familiar, I actually have expectations. I wonder about the pictures of the director's neighborhood and what kind of stories are being told, " adding, "I felt that I really had to feel the pressure and do my best, as the director took everything except the soles of my feet. Just that much, I really did my best for every single shot, and it will be good."
