Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has emerged as the highest-earning actor of all time across genders.
According to Forbes on the 7th, Johansson has become the actor with the highest global cumulative revenue from leading roles, thanks to the success of the recently released 'Jurassic World: Dominion.'
The film 'Jurassic World: Dominion,' which was released on the 4th, recorded revenue of $147.3 million (about 201.8 billion won) in its opening week in North America, and $318.3 million (about 436.2 billion won) worldwide, sweeping the box office.
Over the past 20 years, Johansson has generated revenue of $14.61 billion (about 20.7 trillion won) through 36 leading roles, setting a new record in Hollywood by surpassing Marvel stars Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr. The revenue from supporting roles was not included in this tally.
Jackson earned $14.6 billion (about 20.5 trillion won) from 71 films, while Downey Jr. earned $14.3 billion (about 19.6 trillion won) from 45 films.
Foreign media noted that Johansson achieved high performance with fewer films than other actors.
Johansson began her acting career at the age of 10 with the film 'North.' She later appeared in supporting roles in 'Home Alone 3,' 'The Horse Whisperer,' and 'Ghost World,' achieving recognition in 2003 with 'Lost in Translation.'
