[OSEN] Actor Jung Eun-pyo's son Jung Ji-woong has completed his defense duty and been discharged.
On the 8th, Jung Ji-woong stated on his social media account, "Hello, this is Jung Ji-woong. I hope you have been well. I was discharged today."
He continued, "I still can't believe it, so I don't know what else to say. I will visit often in the future. Thank you."
Jung Eun-pyo also shared on that day his own social media account, "Ji-woong has completed his military service and was discharged on July 8, 2025. Thank you for your concern and support. The moment he reported his discharge to his mother at Yeoncheon Station was so impressive and moving. I hope for a lot of support for Jung Ji-woong as he transitions to civilian life."
Jung Ji-woong enlisted in the active duty army on January 9 last year. Jung Eun-pyo, while seeing his son off, stated in a phone call with OSEN, "I think he felt it was an appropriate time to enlist after finishing his sophomore year. It seems like he decided to enlist at this time thinking about his plans after discharge," and added, "It's natural for a man from Korea to serve in the military. However, as his father, who has already been through that process, I feel a bit emotional, yet on the other hand, Ji-woong entered with composure."
Jung Ji-woong gained much love by appearing on SBS's 'Star Junior Show Breadfish.' Identified as a gifted individual with an IQ of 167, which places him in the top 1%, Jung Ji-woong made headlines by showcasing his excellent rap skills on Mnet's 'Show Me the Money,' and again surprised everyone with the news that he was accepted through regular admission to the humanities department of Seoul National University.
