A brother's unfortunate story about his anxiousness due to his dependent brother has been revealed.
On the broadcast of KBS Joy's 'Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller' on the 7th, the story of a younger brother worrying about his older brother who is in debt was shared.
The storyteller said that his 37-year-old brother, who is 4 years older than him, lacks independence and keeps asking to borrow money. The storyteller noted, "My brother majored in photography and the arts, which made tuition expensive. He tried to get a scholarship but failed and eventually dropped out."
The storyteller said, "He went to Seoul to find work. But he asked to borrow 2 million won saying he had no insurance. So, I lent it to him. My guess is he might be involved in a pyramid scheme."
The storyteller said, "I am preparing for my wedding, and he asks to borrow 5 million won. When I say no, he looks so dejected and really asks if I can't help him. Seeing that breaks my heart. My siblings have a good relationship. So, I borrowed from a lender to lend him that money."
The storyteller mentioned that the brother borrowed money several times afterward and borrowed about 24 million won. The parents reportedly lent him around 100 to 200 million won. Currently, the brother is undergoing rehabilitation procedures. The storyteller said, "He had someone he was going to marry, but when the other person suggested having an introduction meeting at a pork belly restaurant, they ended up arguing and broke up, saying that it was inappropriate."
The storyteller said, "I also developed renal failure 6 years ago. I am currently undergoing dialysis. Due to the dialysis, I had to quit my job and learned to play an instrument without pay, running a specialty instrument store. However, I went out of business after 4 years due to COVID-19." Furthermore, the storyteller mentioned that he had to amputate a finger and currently wears a prosthetic.
In response, Lee Sugeun asked, "Doesn't your brother say he won't donate a kidney?" To this, the storyteller replied, "I can't ask my brother, who isn't married, for help, so I didn't mention it." Seo Jang-hoon expressed his anger, saying, "What kind of brother asks to borrow money when the sibling is in such pain?"
Seo Jang-hoon said, "It seems like you have done your part. You have a wife and are a head of the family, right? You really need to take care of your health." He added that he wanted to talk to the brother and said, "Please help your younger brother."
