The group TWS is achieving remarkable results in Japan and is on a rising trajectory.
According to Oricon on the 8th, TWS (Shin Yu, Do Hoon, Young Jae, Han Jin, Ji Hoon, Kyung Min)'s Japanese debut single "Nice to see you again" (original title: はじめまして/하지메마시테) recorded sales of approximately 150,000 copies, securing the top spot in the latest "Weekly Single Ranking" (as of July 14 / collection period: June 30 - July 6). This marks TWS's second time reaching the top of this chart, following their domestic single album "Last Bell."
Oricon stated, "This single achieved the highest first-week sales among foreign artists' works this year. Additionally, TWS is the first foreign artist to reach number one on the 'Weekly Single Ranking' this year." The last time a foreign artist topped this chart was also with their first single released last year, highlighting how firmly TWS has established itself in Japan.
With "Nice to see you again," TWS also topped Billboard Japan's latest "Top Single Sales" (as of July 9 / collection period: June 30 - July 6), proving their immense popularity.
After releasing their first single in Japan on the 2nd, TWS has been performing new songs on various terrestrial music shows and festivals. They are also hosting a debut commemorative pop-up store and cafe and collaborating with Japan's leading karaoke brand, continuing their enthusiastic "first meeting."
As TWS actively engages in these events, local enthusiasm is gradually heating up. Every time they participate in music shows, several keywords related to TWS have ranked in real-time trends on social media, and all time slots for the pop-up store, which operated on a reservation basis, were sold out early.
TWS will maintain their fiery momentum with their first Japan tour. They will meet fans through a total of 13 performances in 6 cities, starting with a concert in Hiroshima on the 11th, followed by Aichi (13th-15th), Fukuoka (17th-18th), Miyagi (25th-26th), Osaka (28th-30th), and Kanagawa (August 9th-10th) under the title "2025 TWS TOUR '24/7:WITH:US' IN JAPAN."
