Jung Yun-ho cleverly stated that he considers 'Low Life' to be his 'first lesson.'
Disney+ held a production presentation for the new original series 'Low Life' (written by Kang Yun-sung and Ahn Sung-hwa, directed by Kang Yun-sung, abbreviated as 'Low') at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the morning of 8th. The main actors of the work, Ryu Seung-ryong, Yang Se-jong, Lim Soo-jung, Kim Eui-sung, Kim Sung-oh, Kim Jong-soo, Lee Dong-hwi, and Jung Yun-ho (Yuno Yoon-ho) attended the event to discuss the project alongside director Kang Yun-sung and host Park Kyung-rim.
Lee Dong-hwi expressed his gratitude, saying, "Personally, it was a strange feeling to meet Ryu Seung-ryong, who I worked with in 'Extreme Job,' and it really helped me. I received a lot of help from Yun-ho, who plays my family in the drama. I felt a lot watching Jung Yun-ho, a fellow actor, to the point where I memorized all the lines for the reading day." He continued, "Kim Jong-soo has been looking at me, and I want to tell him something, but we've never met. Unfortunately, it seems that the people I haven't met will just pass by."
Kim Eui-sung noted, "Last summer, we filmed in the waters off Mokpo and Sinan during the hottest part of the season. We went out on a small boat, and it was really scary. There was no shade on the boat, so it was incredibly hot. Later, when we went to the set in the capital, the temperature rose to 39 degrees with no wind, making it extremely hot. I keep saying this, but this filming experience is more memorable than any other film or set I've worked on. We struggled a lot, and our friendships grew stronger."
Meanwhile, Ryu Seung-ryong expressed pride, saying, "There are a lot of dark horses, not just the people here; even the abdominal muscles are impressive. There's Captain Hwang and Senior Woo-hyeon, and if you see them, you'll be surprised by their visuals."
Jung Yun-ho added, "In the original, Beol-gu was not specific. There were moments when his defensive nature, that feeling, would suddenly burst out as it is. Overall, I want to use the meme 'lesson' from his song 'Thank You' to say that 'Low Life' is 'the first lesson,' 'seeing good things,' 'the second lesson,' 'doing good things together,' and 'the third lesson, not being influenced by highs and lows,' which caused applause and laughter on set." Ryu Seung-ryong cleverly added, "'Low Life,' 'Thank You,' and Ryu."
'Low Life' is a drama depicting the tricks and schemes of hardworking, survival-type villagers who flock to claim a sunken treasure ship buried under the sea in 1977. Based on the webtoon 'Low' by writer Yoon Tae-ho, known for 'Misaeng,' 'The Outsiders,' 'Moss,' and 'Incheon Landing Operation,' the drama is directed by Kang Yun-sung, who received praise for his films 'Crime City' and Disney+ original 'Casino.' It is anticipated to be a collaboration with Ryu Seung-ryong, a star of the historically successful Disney+ original series 'Moving.'
'Low Life' will debut its first three episodes on the 16th and will meet viewers weekly with two episodes each Wednesday for a total of 11 episodes.
