Recently, broadcaster Lee Sang-min (52) revealed that he registered his marriage and first introduced his wife on air, while sharing their journey through in vitro fertilization.
On the 6th, Lee Sang-min appeared alongside his wife on SBS's "My Little Old Boy" (hereafter referred to as "My Little Old Boy").
On that broadcast, Lee Sang-min's wife appeared on screen wearing a mask. Lee Sang-min had previously referred to her as "a person like an angel sent from heaven."
Seo Jang-hoon noted, "I've only seen pictures, but this is my first time seeing you in person," and complimented, "Your eyes are so beautiful." Guest lyricist Kim Ina remarked, "Lee Sang-min's face has changed. He looks incredibly happy."
On that broadcast, Lee Sang-min and his wife revealed that they are trying in vitro fertilization to have their second child. While heading to the hospital to check the status of the pregnancy, Lee Sang-min expressed, "Thank you for telling me to register the marriage and try to have a child first."
His wife lamented, "Going to the hospital alone and getting injections is manageable, but the emotional ups and downs are really tough."
Seo Jang-hoon added, "Lee Sang-min has lost a lot of weight and looks different from before."
However, despite the couple's efforts, the first in vitro fertilization attempt was unsuccessful. Lee Sang-min said, "My wife had a feeling that it wouldn't work," while his wife revealed, "I was very sensitive for about five days, but then it felt like everything just got better one day."
Lee Sang-min worried, "Can we continue this?" but his wife declared, "We have to do it when we set our minds to it," and stated her intention to attempt the second in vitro fertilization.
Lee Sang-min comforted her, saying, "You don't look like you're even in your early 30s. It's hard, so what can we do?" when his wife expressed, "I feel like I'm too old."
Lee Sang-min registered his marriage in April to a partner 10 years his junior. The two met during a business meeting earlier this year, became lovers, and married after a three-month romance. This is Lee Sang-min's remarriage, 20 years after his divorce.
